Queensland police sued after officer caught describing Indians as ‘perverts’ while investigating rideshare driver

One of the arresting officers had been recorded on camera describing Indians as a "bunch of fucking perverts" before the investigation began. Police continued the investigation despite knowing about the officer's racist comments, according to the driver's statement of claim. The driver, identified only as Singh, was charged with committing an indecent act during the year-long investigation. The case has now proceeded to legal action against the Queensland police force over the alleged racial discrimination during the investigation process.
