Gilgo Beach serial killer suspect Rex Heuermann pleads guilty

Rex Heuermann, the Long Island architect accused in the Gilgo Beach killings, pleaded guilty on Wednesday to murdering eight women. Heuermann admitted to strangling these women, whose remains were mostly discovered along Long Island’s coast. This plea, entered in court in Riverhead, Long Island, resolves the cases known as the Gilgo Beach killings, which date back to 1993. Heuermann had been held in custody since his arrest in July 2023.
